Jolly Roger's voodoo magic is already working its way through the Caribbean. We've seen many Pirates hypnotized by a strange trance that comes over them without warning! To see if you're affected, open a Chat Window and type: /zombie
Pirate Guy, we've greatly improved game performance from last year, so hopefully you won't experience lag during the event. A few tips to help improve your game experience - try a less populated server (more Pirates means your computer has to work harder to display more players) and adjust your graphics settings if you don't have a very powerful computer.
Pirates Online requires a lot of your computer resources to run smoothly. If you follow the tips above and make sure you end any other programs you are running when playing Pirates Online, (like Instant Messaging programs or music players) you should have a great experience. Also, don't play over a wireless connection and always play in Fullscreen mode - doing these little things can make a big difference in game play. Thanks for playing!

Great tips, Jack! As old Jack has mentioned above, if you don't want to be affected by the curse, go out to sea or hide indoors. If you are caught outside in the light of the moon you'll be turned undead and then it's every Pirate, uh, Undead Pirate for himself! Good luck mates!

Hi Juliet, the zombie dance comes and goes with Jolly's magic - when Pirates dance like zombies, the Curse of the Muertos Moon is not far behind. But when Jolly's magic loses its hold on the islands and All Hallows Eve (Halloween) passes, pirates are no longer affected. Thanks for your question.
Mark, we stand by our recommendation that you should always run Pirates Online in Fullscreen mode. The game will perform better in this mode and the action will look better in fullscreen too! We're glad you enjoyed the curse and hope you got a chance to become undead!
